SOFTWARE STUDIO: DIGITAL CRAFTSMANSHIP

Software Studio is the physical production project of Niccolò Falcioni Villani (SoftwareBoy), a creative space dedicated to the realization of collaborative or commissioned projects. The process moves from digitalization to materialization, orchestrating a global network of artisans and specialized producers.

WORK METHOD

The Software Studio workflow is structured in precise phases:

-DIGITAL DESIGN

The project is born digitally, modeled in 3D by Softwareboy. This phase allows for the definition and refinement of every detail even before production begins. Once the design is approved by the client, production of the first sample proceeds.

-ORCHESTRATION OF THE ARTISANAL NETWORK

Once the digital project is defined, the international network is activated, selecting excellence based on the required material and processing:

ARTISANAL 3D PRINTING - Italy and Japan, handmade by Niccolò

INDUSTRIAL PRODUCTION - China, for large series and rapid prototyping

PRECIOUS METALS - Japan and Italy for goldsmithing and jewelry

WOODWORKING - Indonesia, handmade by local artisans

FIBERGLASS - China, for chairs, tables, and furniture sculptures

STAINLESS STEEL - China, for furniture and technical components

-COORDINATED PRODUCTION

Niccolò coordinates the production process across time zones, maintaining quality control at every phase to guarantee that the final result faithfully reflects the original vision.

-FINISHING AND QUALITY CONTROL

Each piece returns to the studio for final finishes and a last inspection, ensuring that every Software Studio project maintains the highest standards and that clients remain satisfied.

A small team of specialists, each with targeted skills, supports the process to achieve the work.

-A HYBRID APPROACH

Software Studio operates according to a clear principle:

Digital design guarantees precision and innovation, with no creative limits thanks to 3D printing that offers full project freedom through additive technology.

Artisanal manufacturing ensures quality and uniqueness.

The global network allows for selecting the best producer for every need.

The Italian vision maintains an unwavering focus on design and aesthetics.

This hybrid method allows Software Studio to tackle diverse projects, from furniture to jewelry, from toys to design, always maintaining qualitative coherence and a sharp artistic vision.

FURNITURE SECTION

Stainless Steel Table for Halifax Project (design by Arduino Lancellotti)

Starting from the design and concept by @tauroboyprince, Software Studio created a precision stainless steel table. After weeks of research, the optimal production process was identified: starting from a thick stainless steel slab, the shape was impressed and the sides folded to achieve the desired thickness. The legs, removable, can be customized to adjust the height. The table measures 200 x 100 x 80 cm and represents excellence in metalworking.ldf.

Squid table for Vincent Peak

The American artist Vincent Peak was one of SoftwareBoy's first collaborators. Their partnership, begun in 2020, saw the creation of a first prototype: a small 3D print in resin, hand-painted with SoftwareBoy's first printer (Squidbomb). An evolutionary path that, in 2025, led to the creation of a 1.3-meter fiberglass table, complete with removable glass and hand-painted in a specialized factory in China. A journey that perfectly embodies the growth of Software Studio: from artisanal in-studio productions to large-scale industrial collaborations.

TOYS AND COLLECTIBLES SECTION

IYLIDIAF Collection (2024-2025)

For the IYLIDIAF brand, Software Studio produced an exclusive series of blind bag collectibles. The collection includes 20 different characters with 5 rarity levels, each characterized by unique finishes:

1 Star - Pink

2 Stars - Yellow

3 Stars - Translucent Green

4 Stars - Metallic Blue

5 Stars - Secret Edition

Each figurine was entirely produced in SoftwareBoy Studio, demonstrating versatility in the production of limited series and collectible objects.

Client Testimonial: Federico Ceruso (@pepemaniak)

1.How would you rate the quality and fidelity of the final result compared to your original concept for the Pussy Collection?

"Software Boy top level shit – he even modified and perfected the models a bit, making them perfect."

2) Do you think the series production (quantity, timing, and finishes) met your expectations or is there something you would improve for future editions?

"A real hustler doesn't waste time – the fastest. Regarding mass production (quantity, timing, and finishes), everything met expectations."

3) Did you find the communication and production management effective during the various phases of the project?

"Good communication and super production management! Day and night."

Client Testimonial: Vincent Peak (@vincentpeak)

1)How would you rate the quality and finish of the fiberglass pieces compared to your original artistic vision?

"I'm truly pleased with how the fiberglass pieces turned out. The quality, surface detail, and overall finish are excellent — they align beautifully with my original artistic vision while adding a unique material depth that brings the work to life."

2)Did the communication and production process meet your expectations in terms of timing, details, and collaboration?

"The collaboration process was smooth, professional, and efficient. Timing and communication were clear throughout, which made the production experience both easy and enjoyable."

3) Is there anything you’d like to improve or explore differently for future projects together?

"For future projects, I'd love to explore even more experimental finishes or structural variations — maybe push the boundaries of translucency or layering to create new visual effects."

4)Compared to your previous works or collaborations, how did this project stand out in terms of creativity and execution?

"This project definitely stood out for its creativity and strong sense of partnership. It felt like a perfect balance between technical precision and artistic intent, which made the whole process rewarding from start to finish."
